Rich Lindberg will be discussing some forgotten (and some familiar) episodes from the Windy City’s colorful history. Stories will include will include fascinating figures like Moe Snyder and Ruth Etting-the songstress and the gangster who inspired the movie “Love Me or Leave Me,” and Elisha Gray of Highland Park who invented the telephone – not Alexander Graham Bell. Mr. Lindberg’s tales span the Gilded Age up through the mid-20th Century, are spiced with memorable anecdotes and even include a ghost story about the magnificent Peter Schuttler mansion.
