All are welcome to attend and see performer/historian Ellie Carlson in costume and in character as Queen Victoria in the year 1876. Victoria had just been named Empress of India; a country she never actually visited. Nor did she ever visit America. Queen Victoria was probably still indignant that the American colonial army defeated her grandfather’s. This performance at the Des Plaines History Center will require a suspension of disbelief and, as always, please bring your sense of humor. The queen will provide a delicious Victorian treat to share!
