Coffee Talk: "Des Plaines in the Great War" by Curator Philip Mohr

2018 marks the 100-year signing of the armistice of World War I by major world powers England, France, and Germany. Curator Philip Mohr will deliver a lecture about life in Des Plaines during that time. Topics discussed will include home front efforts by local citizens and the devastating effects of the flu pandemic. Mr. Mohr invites all community members to attend and share family or travel stories related to World War I. $3.00 suggested donation.
