Contrary to many people’s first impression, this was not the original master bedroom. It is set up to display an adult’s bedroom.

Items on the dresser include a shoehorn, nail file, brush, hand mirror, and hair receiver. Women would collect hair from their brushes and keep it in the hair receiver. The hair could be formed into a “rat” to add volume in hairstyles.
