Based on his PTM Werks Series of children's picture books, Patrick McBriarty seeks to inspire future generations of designers, engineers, architects, pilots, and builders.  Using a Richard Scarry style fanciful animal characters, vehicles, air, and watercraft to answer the "why" questions kids often have about the machines all around us work.  

These books are a great way to introduce to Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEM/STEAM Topics) in early childhood education for kids, parents, and educators  AND they are just plain FUN!! (Recommended for Pre-K to 3rd Graders.) Drawbridges Open and Close was recently honored by the Illinois Reads Council for their 2017 Book List of selected K-2 children's picture books.
