Des Plaines History Center

 

Step back in time and learn about naturalist Robert Kennicott.  Kennicott’s father, John, was a country doctor and naturalist, and lived at The Grove, today a national historic landmark in Glenview.  A costumed interpreter will share the interesting story of Robert Kennicott, who founded the Chicago Academy of Sciences and explored what would some day be Alaska.
